In short

Several funding schemes exist in Austria for digitalization projects, such as KMU.DIGITAL and aws-Digitalisierungsförderung (aws digitalization funding). Whether and to what extent one of them currently applies to your project is something we review individually with you. Current conditions: kmudigital.at, aws.at. In any case, the order matters: first the approved application, then the order for AI document processing.

01 — Funding

Subsidies in Austria

For digitalization projects, there are several funding programs in Austria, such as KMU.DIGITAL or the aws digitalization funding. Whether and to what extent one of these is currently relevant for your project, we'll review with you individually. Current conditions: kmudigital.at, aws.at.

Which program is relevant, how high the subsidy currently is, and whether the budget for the current funding period is still open changes regularly — plus there are regional funding programs that vary by federal state. Only the information from the funding agencies themselves is reliable, not a fixed percentage stated here.

The most common mistake is always the same: commission first, then want funding. That doesn't work. Allow several weeks of lead time for application and approval.

Depending on the number of document types and target system. A fixed price can only be quoted seriously after the initial meeting — send us a brief description of your project, and we'll send a proposal that fits the scope and effort.

03 — Process

How a funding application works

  1. Check funding program

Which program fits the project and company size. This determines the subsidy amount and effort.

  2. Obtain quote

A quote is usually required for the application — commissioning does not happen yet.

  3. Submit application

Submission with project description, cost breakdown and schedule.

  4. Wait for approval

Only after approval is the commission placed. If you commission earlier, you lose the funding.

  5. Implement and settle accounts

After completion, final accounting with supporting documents follows.

04 — Questions

Frequently asked questions

How well does it work with poor-quality scans?

Significantly better than traditional OCR, because the model reads context, not just individual characters. But we measure this on your actual documents and report the accuracy rate instead of promising it.

Does this replace our accounting software?

No, it feeds it. The processing sits upstream and delivers clean data to the system you already use.

How quickly do we see the accuracy rate before we commit?

Before the quote: We test with a batch of your actual documents and state the measured rate per field — not an estimate, but a result you can verify yourself.

What happens if there's an error?

Nothing runs through unchecked as long as the accuracy rate is not proven. The system provides a confidence score for each field; below a threshold, the document goes to a human for review.

Is this audit-proof?

Every processing step is logged: original document, recognized values, corrections, timestamps, responsible person. The original remains unchanged.

What happens to the paper original?

It remains untouched and is not automatically disposed of. For statutory retention requirements, what your tax advisor specifies still applies — digitization does not automatically replace that.

Do we need a template for every supplier?

No, that's the difference from older solutions. The system recognizes fields by content, not by fixed positions on the page — even with a supplier sending for the first time.
